Anyone have a good 200 grin NP/NAB and H1000 load? I have had good luck with 180's and now will work up with 200 grainers. What are you loading and did you chrony them? Thanks

I had good luck with the 200 AB and H1000, I'll check my records tomorrow and let you know what worked well for me along with my MV.

I know my brother in law has had great luck with the 185 VLD and Retumbo. Might give it a shot if the H1000 doesn't work out for you.

Checked my notes and best accuracy for me was 74.5grs. H1000 at 2,910 FPS from my 28" Hart. I was able to push them faster but the accuracy wasn't as good as the 2,910 fps load. I also had good luck with H4831SC and the 200 grain AB, 71.5 grains of that shot really well, don't have notes on velocity however. My rifle liked the AB's seated 0.020" off the lands and grooves.

I'm running Berger's through my .300 now, the 210 VLD shoots exceptionally well and the 215 Hybrid is unreal out of my rifle. You may look into those. Nothing wrong with the AccuBond though! Great bullet for sure! Hope this may help.

Thanks! I have a 1-1/2 of H4831sc and it is very accurate at 70.5 for me. I have a 23" barrel, so I will be a little on the slower side, but a 200 grainer at 2800 fps is nothing to laugh at.

2800 with a 200 grainer is definitely nothing to laugh at. Good luck on your load development!

Heck no, that load will hammer anything that it comes in contact with. My WSM runs a 200 PT at around 2875, and I couldn't think of much it wouldn't be good at...

I had better luck with Rl22, velocity was 2850-2875fps from a 24" rem 700 bdl ss.

I tried H4831, H1000, and RL22. Rl22 was most accurate, fastest and most consistent ES wise.

I loaded the shells and got the rifle zeroed with a drop chart out to 1K. My uncle ended up taking his spike at 900 yards, high shoulder shot. The 200g AB was lodged in the skin on the offside shoulder. Couldn't have asked for a better moment.

I have had previous great luck with RL22, but this rifle does not like it! H4831sc does well and I have some, but with 8-lbs of H1000 I am hoping to make it work. I have some loaded at 76 grs, 77 grs, and 78 grs. Need a weekend to test. Thanks.

As long as it will hold 3/4-1 MOA you'll be in business!

My dad has a TC ICON in 300 set up for LRH. Shoots 180g NBTs with Rl22 great, 1/2 MOA at 2950fps. However, he wants to see how the 200g AB will do from his rifle so I'll probably end up messing with it a bit in the near future. Will work with the same powders, rl22, h4831, and h1000. Hopefully Rl22 works because we have a bunch of that stockpiled for the 180s, and my 25-06 loves it as well from 85g on up.

Let us know how the H1000 does. Its one of my favorite powders, usually does pretty well in most everything I've put through it.

Remington 79-grs H1000 does great with 180's as well 70.5 H4831sc with 200 grainers. If th H1000 does not work out I will use it up with 180's and use up he H4831 until I run out. I'll report back, but turkey hunting th next few weekends.

RL-22 worked well for me as well. However, temperature sensitivity is extreme with it and I've found their lot to lot variation to be too extreme for me. Thus, I've made the switch away from Alliant Powders.

I am using 74.5 g H1000 with a 210 berger long range boattail and a federal 215 m primer in my DTA SRS, accuracy good, standard deviation 11 and velocity at 2840.

That would work!

Well made it out, 60 and 10 mph wind. Did not take the chrony since I was at the city range with 50 cals on both sides, but am happy with what I did.

H4831sc

180's H1000 and H4350

The gun

I am sure I can do better, but can't shoot well with the breks on both sides going. Was 100-yards.

Looks like you have lots to work with, those groups are close to being there with a bit of tweaking. Nice.

I wanted to revisit an old post. The 77-grains was the mix, but I removed the stinking muzzle break and now I got the gun shooting how I think it should. As fellow gun loonies I am sure you understand when rifles do not play well.
