Thinking about loading 165 grain AccuBond in a .300wsm, I have the nosler book #6th addition, and have been thinking about using IMR 4350. I am using H4350 for 180 grain and getting good results. Any suggestions on another powder or the two above and what range of grains to start with. Thanks

I have had good success with RL15, H380 and IMR4831 and 165/168 grain bullets.

i have a rem 700 i've had a lot of problems with. finally have gotten it to come around and it seems IMR4831 and H414 produce the best accuracy, with h414 edging out imr4831 on velocity too a little. imr4831 seems to work best with standard rifle primers. i use magnum primers with h414

I load 65.0grs of IMR-4350 with 165gr bullets in mine.I'm also loading 69.0grs of Reloader-22 or Winchester WXR with the 165gr.All of them give me nearly identical results,groups of 1/2" or less and velocities a little over 3000fps.I really like my 300WSM.

69.5grs IMR-4831 with a WLR, not the mag variety, gave me the best results. That is a grain or so below max in my rifle but I haven't had a pressure problem at that load.Rick.

My 300 WSM really likes RL-15 with the 165 gr. bullets. I have loaded the 150 gr. AccuBonds, but not the 165 gr.

Big Game shot pretty well too!

165gr. Barnes TSX
Win. Brass, WLRM Primer
COL=2.820
Big Game-64.5 grs.-3094 fps (.692”)
RL-15-58.5 grs-3050 fps (.442”)

Very good results with IMR 4831 with the 165/168gr bullets in the 300 WSM.

Like you I use H4350 with 185gr Begers........super combo.

RL 17 worked very well with 150/155 grain bullets.
