First, thank you for including bottleneck cartridges in the handgun section of your reloading manual.
The rifle section for 308 has about 10 powder choices for each bullet weight, and bullets from 125 to 200 grains, while the handgun section has 5 or 6 powders for each bullet weight, and bullets from 125 to 165/168 grains.
It looks like all the bullet weight/powder combos in the pistol section are also in the rifle section, including the starting weights and maxes.
Is the pistol section smaller solely due to limited resources on testing all the 308 loads in the short tube, or are there certain powders that you've found don't do well in the shorter barrel due to efficiency/muzzle blast problems?
Specifically I'd like to try Varget, but if you already know it's a poor choice in an XP-100 I'll save my time and money.
