I haven't done one, but I've considered it and looked at the potential. If your 30-06 doesn't have a 24" barrel, I'd consider it a waste. The 308Norma in a 22" barrel just isn't going to provide a significant enough gain over the -06 to make it worth the several hundred dollars you'll pay for it. Better to go ahead and get a new barrel if you're going that route. But the Norma is a great round, in my opinion, and capable of taking anything in North America that won't eat you first.
