New member here, and I am not having any luck with the 'search' function. I have some .308 Nosler 140 gr. CC's and I am looking for load data to use in my 308 Garand. I know that these bullets are intended for use in the 30 AR rifles, but thought someone might be using them in other applications. Any data is appreciated, it does not have to be Garand specific.
Thanks!

Sounds like a pretty fun rifle. Good luck with your load work..

Thanks for the load data. I tried 43.0 H4895 with the 140 CC's today and they grouped well at 100 yards. 41.5 of IMR4895 did even better, although it is a pretty mild load. I havent found anything that doesnt shoot well in my 308 Garand with 41.5 grains of IMR4895.

I'd be interested to know more about the rifle also--I think Garands are cool.

New manufacture or CMP? Where'd you get it?

joel k:
My Garand is a CMP purchase that I rebarreled with a Criterion 308 barrel. Nothing fancy, a WWII receiver (722XXX) mixmaster parts with a non-descript postwar stock, that has a tight lockup. However, I did spend a lot of time accurizing it, peening the barrel splines for a snug gas cylinder fit, relieving metal and wood in various places, trigger job and some other things. I don't collect them, I shoot them.
