So I was able to chronograph this load today (45.0 r15, 22.5" tikka factory barrel) and I was right in the 2900 FPS range...I had settled on this because it shoots 3 shots into 6/10th of an inch. Sighted in 2" high at 100 yards for 215 yard zero.
Well after getting home I ran the ballistic calculator and based on this information, these are the results...
Range Velocity Energy Drop
0 2900 2801 -1.5
100 2709 2444 +2
200 2526 2126 +.7
300 2351 1841 -6.1
400 2182 1586 -19.2
500 2021 1360 -39.5
These are pretty impressive ballistics...This gun was built as a sheep/mountain gun for realistic shots out to 350-400 yards. Ballistically on paper it's going to pack a wallop...Need to shoot out to those distances to verify, but with a good velocity and sleekness of the 150 AccuBond, sure looks promising.
