Where are all the 338 250gr. Accuonds. Nosler HELLO? WE ARE OUT!

I haven't seen a box of the 250gr Accubonds in over a year. I just purchased 2 boxes of the 250 Partitions which are much easier to find. Interestingly enough, I was able to shoot a < .5moa group at 200yds with the Partitions. I never even considered that they could shoot that accurately.

Been looking around for the 250 AB to use in my 338-375. Hope to see some on the shelves before this fall!

Charlie,

The .338 250 gr PT is an accurate bullet.

I am going to go back to the .338 250 gr AB for crop damage hunting as it shoots flatter than the 300 gr AB.
I will try to get you fellas an update on when Nosler will be making another run on the 338 250 gr AB.

Saw some in Cheyenne Sportman's warehouse yesterday.

250 parts shoot lights out in my 340 why too!
Never tried the ab's.

The 250 gr AB shoots lights out too.

Wow...the 250 ab has been out or 5 yrs....seems like only 2-3......time flies!

Here is the first game animal taken with the 250 gr AB back in 2008.

Both my 338's shoot the 250 AB really well. I have kinda dismissed them for any hunting as they are nearly impossible to find. Maybe I will run them next year. I am doing okay with the 250 PT's though, so I am not sweating it too much.

For most of my rifles, I find that PTs work very well. I get good accuracy and quick smack down of game. Consequently, though I have a supply of ABs in most calibres, I actually use far more PTs.

I've shot a gagillion Accubonds in various calibers and wanted to use the 250 Accubonds for an upcoming moose hunt. I have virtually no experience with the 250 Partitions. Do you think the Partitions are up to the task? I'm only using a 338RUM.

Charlie

I am running the 250 gr PT out of my 338 RUM at 3024 fps with 98.6 grs of Retumbo, R-P case and Federal GM215M primers. This is the load I will use one day when I hunt moose.

I have always used Partitions for elk hunting. First the 210 gr and 250 gr back in the 1960-1980's in the .338 WM. Then the 225 gr later when it became available in my .340 Weatherby. I still shoot the 210 gr Partition in the .338 Federal.

Well my friend I have shot moose with both and all you have to do is pick the one your rifle shoots best then sharpen your gutting knife and your skinning knife and prepare yourself for some hard work after the swamp donkey hits the dirt. Really you will be happy with either one have never had either let me down on elk or moose from 6.5 all the way up to 35 in standard calibers magnums and ultra mag. I will do my moose dance for you for luck this up coming moose season.

Why thank you "338 Ultra", although I'm not familiar with the moose dance. Maybe you could post it on YouTube for our entertainment. Naturally, I was just joking about the 250 Partitions being adequate for moose in the 338 RUM. Probably more moose are dropped with 30-06 class cartridges but I'm not taking any chances.
