For those who own one, care to show me some results of the Whelen working its magic?

Here is 165 Partition, .30-06 (all 3-shot groups at 100 yards)!

Sorry I am electronically challenged and do not know how to post photos.
I can give load specs if that would help :)

I have three rifles in .35 Whelen. I've only played with two loads, 3.0 gr. of H335 with the 250 gr. Speer Hot Core and 250 gr. Hornady SP and RN. Velocity riuns the 2525 to 2550 FPS range and accurcy vaies from one inch to 1.25" depending on the rifle. My serious pet load is 60.4 gr. of Re15, Remington brass, Winchester WLR primer and the 225 gr. Barnes TSX bullet. That one is usable only in my custom Mauser and is definitely too hot in the Ruger M77 and Reminton M700 Classic. Start at least 2 gr. lower and work up. Accuracy in the Mauser runs from .50 to .75" depending on how well I'm shooting on any particular day.
Results on the two cow elk were very good, both one shot kills, one at 150 yards and the other at 325 to 350 yards as estimated by my guide and hunting partner. Anyone who says a .35 Whelen will not reach out and touch something has a lot to learn.    It is very rapidly becoming my all time favorite rifle/cartridge combo.

OT3,
Now that is some fine shooting Buddy. Those guns are real keepers.

Correction to my last post on this thread. The load for H335 should be 53.0 gr. not 3.0 gr.

Here are a few targets from my Whelen.

200 grain Hornady at 200 yards with 4064

250 PT - 100 yards

225 AB's RL15

Targets such as those give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Great loads and great shooting, Scotty.

Impressive shooting Scotty, she is dialed in now!!
