35 Whelen.

I like mine the way it is.

Close to max (not max) load and group here.

ST I have not had my 35 for very long but did lots of looking before getting the caliber. Like many others have stated I think your over wondering an issue that does not seem to exist.

Cousin took a small bull yesterday with on of my Whelen’s. 100 yards broadside with 225 Barnes TTSX. Going to go help pack it out this morning, he tells me we will be able to eat right up to the bullet hole.

Chalk up another one for the old Colonel. [emoji106]

35 Whelen plus RL 15 plus 250gr bullet equals .338 Mag
in disguise.......... there is nothing walking in NA that can stand one properly placed shot from a 35 Whelen. Period.
Game over, lites out....... Simple as that it will flatten anything Brown/White bears included. A 250gr bullet at 2600 will level them all short or tall big or small...... If your into Magnums / Improved calibers they are great. But you
can do it all with a standard Whelen it needs nothing but proper placement and it will do the rest for you. Promise!IMG_0005_zps523e0d5e.jpg
