Anyone have a load using a 200 or a 225 grain bullet and RL-15?

Have not been able to find much using RL-15.

Thanks,

I have not used Reloader 15 but have had real good luck with Win 748 and 225's 2620+ and 1.625" @200 yards. I have entertained the thought of Reloader 15 but have not bought any yet.

its my 700 Classic here is the group
350200yard.jpg

I use R-P cases neck sized 225gr TSX Seated to a col of 2.912,( I have a lengthened magazine.) I used 61.5gr 748. I did a series of three shot groups and had FIVE out of the nine round within 1" @ 200 yards but the over all group was about 3" Yes 350 can keep up with the 06's and 308's and still have 2000 ft lbs at 300 yard and 9.5" drop (200 zero) short range my butt.

Black-tailed bandit

Nice shooting there. Those 700 Classics can shoot. I have a 35 Whelen that is very accurate. I shot a 2.5" group at 300 yds off the seat of a Honda 3 wheeler.

I agree with you, the 350RM/35 Whelen are not limited to short range.

Thanks for the input.

Just acquired this rifle. New Mdl 673 Remington Guide Rifle in the box.

Gave $550 and included 5 boxes of Remington factory 200 grain shells.

I think that should work OK for Wisconsin Whitetails. :p

Very nice indeed and yes the whitetails are in trouble!

Good black bear round also the 200 gr PSP..........

Drops them like a bag of hammers

I hope that you like that rifle as much as I do my 350. I'd say get a limbsaver recoil pad and have fun shooting your whitetails! save your brass hand hand lads and this round will really come to life. Those factory round are about 36a box of 20 you can buy a BOX OF 225 pt for a lot less than the factory stuff and have a better bullet too.
