Just curious as to what others are loading in their 41 magnums.
My current load is 19.2gr. of 2400 pushing 210gr. XTP

My 41 magnums get a steady diet of 21 grains of H110 behind the Hornady 210 XTP.

I own two 41 magnums currently, two extremes so to speak. One is an old Ruger 3 screw Blackhawk with a 4 5/8 inch barrel and the other is a Freedom Arms with a 10 inch barrel. The Ruger makes a great trail gun, lots of power, small gun to pack. The Freedom Arms is used in IHMSA silhouette competition.

I like the Lyman #410610 driven by a heavy charge of Alliant 2400. Five shots in an inch at 25 if I do my part. I need to see what I can do at 50...if I can put my rifles down long enough to get back in the handgun groove!

...22.5grs. of Lil'Gun w/ the 210 XTP's & DeepCurls; 20.0grs of Lil'Gun w the Speer 220gr. semi-jacketed soft points (MAX LOADS!!!)...

...Lil'Gun has a much better velocity: pressure ratio, same or better MV's w/ considerably lower pressures than H110 or 2400, or less "felt recoil"/ muzzle blast @ the same MV...

...from Hodgdon 2013 Annual...

210gr. XTP
H110 22.0gr/ MV 1631/ 36,400CUP
Lil'Gun 22.5gr./ MV 1626/ 29,900CUP

I'm not running anything hi speed, just shooting for fun. I use 2400, 16 to 17 gr, and AA#5, 10.8 to 12 gr. I seem to have the best luck with the old Rem 210 JSP. The Model 57's love those. Also had good luck with Oregon Trail cast 215's. Haven't tried the Lil Gun yet but keep hearing good things.

I use 2400 in my 3 41Mags... a 57, 657 snubby, and my 10 inch Contender.

I've recently switched to 2400 in my 500 S&W over H110... burns cleaner and better IMHO.

I thought for sure the 41 had a bigger following than this. I had a 44 and sold it to acquire the 41 and now after having both I prefer the 41.
