Anyone seen anything on a bolt gun for this caliber? I think it would make a great little truck gun or varmint gun. I know it is similar to the hornet but cheaper to shoot factory.

I have seen midway lists a barrel for the 700 actions.

What do you all think

Yeah I checked there didnt find anything. I think it would make a fine little squirrel gun or truck gun. Or just fun and inexpensive to shoot.

Might be a little bothersome to reload for as you have to ream the primer pockets but it only uses like 5 grains of powder!

a guy on accurate reloading built a couple 17/5.7x28 (aka 17 velociraptor) on a cz actions. neat lil rifle.

why couldnt a guy have a model 700 repeater in this round?

I know it is short but wouldnt all you need to do is change the deal on top of the spring? OF course someone would need to build one
