55 gr Varmageon vs 55 gr BT

My 22-250's like 55 gr bullets. I tried some 50 gr BT but the 55 gr shoot better

Will the Varmageon shoot any different than the BT? I have long used Sierra Biltzking with good results.

Headed through Bend next week and planning to stop by SPS. Hope there is NO 280 AI TGR in the shop!!!

The BT has a boat tail little better BC and that's about it. I just shoot the BT deadly accurate out of my 22-250.

Are you asking about the FB tipped or the HPBT varmeggedon? Either way, it's what your rifle and load prefers.

According to my load development logs, my 22-250 likes the flat based varmeggedon bullets better. This was before I knew I could match the optimal barrel time and it looks like I wasn't near an OBT node when I tested the 55gr b tips though. Jumped ship and loaded partitions and 64gr bonded.
