Just had to take the .260 out today too and play with it..... attempting to find a load for the 130 grain A-bonds so my Dad can take it Cow Elk hunting next month....Recovered part of a 100gr B-tip in the milk jugs too.
Penetration is definately not in the same class as the A-bonds. Keep in mind, impact velocity was above the recommended 3000 fps....

The 6.5 mm 100 gr BT would be a dandy for deer. You should give a 130 gr AB the jug test. :grin:

Did this a few months ago... 81.4 grains remaining on a 130 gr A-bond.. If I remember correctly it made it into the 5th milk jug as this only made it into the second.....
