Thanks Tackdrivers. I thought i could go higher on the powder charge because my velocity is at 2950. And i don't see any pressure signs.

At only the 45000 psi range the pressure seems low...perhaps redoing with pressure in the 60-65K range would show better velocity than 2800 fps?

2935 was what my friends 6.5 PRC was running with 143 X Hornady Superformance. I d say you can do that with R26 but you re “there” pressure wise; signs or no signs.

Should be an excellent performer if it has the accuracy you desire.

Chronoed 56.8gns average velocity was 2879. Es was 8 and sd was 3. Pretty slow. 57.5gns with a 140gn eld-m averaged 2933. Es 27 sd 12.

You should get mid 3,000 fps with it, my 6.5 x 284 ( not a 6.5 PRC ) with the H4831SC was slow with the 143 ELD X when I last tested it, it was not accurate as I wanted it, it was running at book max ( 49 grains ) at mid 2700 fps. So I ran a ladder and carefully up to 4 grains past book max. Found a node at 2890 fps and 52.3 grains, its 3.2 grains past max. There was pressure around 53 grains with slight ejector mark and little stiff bolt and I backed off. Same issue with my 7mm and 300 Mags.
Not asking you to increase your charges, if you are happy with your speed and accuracy, stick with it. . The 6.5 PRC is slightly faster than the 6.5 x 284 by about 100 to 150 fps depending on powder choice. I was using H4831sc which is way slower than RL 26.
RL26 is the bees knees when it comes to velocity.

I could run Quickload for you to get the current pressure when you tested it, just give me your H20 case fill, powder charge, speed, barrel length, COAL and bullet details.

hornady precision hunter 143 eldx factory loads chrony's 2962 fps from my buddy's bergara

I ran the numbers, it seems you are under pressure with 56.8 grains. First picture is your current load, 2nd pic is a mid range load at 3000 fps with 59 grains of RL 26 and the 3rd pic is a max load with 60.5 grains of RL 26. Please do not duplicate the loads, work your way up using a ladder under a chrono. Hope this helps to show you your current pressure. Case fill may be an issue if going higher on powder charges, it's over 100%. Possibly try with a drop tube.
