On a whim as part of another order from SPS I picked up some Nosler 86 grain banded E-Tips. They came today. I discovered that there is no mention of these on the Nosler web-site.
The package label and the invoice as well actual shows the as "F-Tips" . I guess that's a typo???
I also noticed that the plastic tips are black instead of OD as normal for E-Tips.
I picked them up thinking they might work Ok in a 10:1 twist whereas the 90 grainers need a 9:1.

So are these prototype bullets? :?:
I know SPS has had other bullets advertised as such.

Saw them as well. Those might work really slick out of a 243. Bet they will open up nice scooted along at 3200-3300 as well.

I bought some 30 cal 167 grain bullets a while back and they also said F tips.

I saw those too. For the price they had them at, I hope you bought a few bags of them. I should get some. Let us know how they do. I've had a hard time loading the Hornady gmx to my satisfaction previously, so I've shied away from the all copper bullets. But I should give the Noslers a try.
