Loaded 3 more of the 66.4 grain loads under the 162 Grain ELDX and shot one group, no chrono since it’s sketchy. Just accuracy. Cold
Barrel 3 shot group was .530 at 100. I still plan to tinker a bit more, but this ain’t bad! Thanks again for all the Sage advice!!!!

Well, there is nothing to complain about the accuracy that you are getting.

Code:
Cartridge : 7 mm Rem. Mag.(SAAMI)
Bullet : .284, 162, Hornady ELD-X 2840 G7
Useable Case Capaci: 72.032 grain H2O = 4.677 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.290 inch = 83.57 mm
Barrel Length : 22.0 inch = 558.8 mm
Powder : Alliant Reloder-22 *C

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 1.0% of nominal charge.

QuickLoad would suggest that you are tickling the dragon's tail. However, I would likely not be concerned in my own firing system about such a load since the indication is that the load generates only a skosh over 61K psi maximum chamber pressure. If the load is reproducible for you, go forth and slay your game. That load will hunt.

I cant argue with results, but Safety first. It is funny DrMike. I just did the same thing, run the calculations in both QL and GRT and at 70 Degrees F. If I load to mag length (3.4") it is a little better, but anyone seeing this, please, start low and work up.

Absolutely! I watched for case expansion after every round. I hope I didn’t violate any rules posting that load since it’s over Max

It is max given the parameters. As I said, it is not a particularly hot load since it projects at only slightly more than 61K psi. Just be aware that in your system it may give some trouble. It is good that you are checking for case head expansion, which will keep you from a lot of trouble. If you see signs of excessive pressure you will want to adjust your charge. Otherwise, enjoy the accuracy and post some pictures of the animals you take.

Good shooting, checking the case heads for any sign of extractor marks is another way to check for pressure.

I have also been closely checking primers for doming etc. Bolt opens super easy after the shot too, crossing my fingers this is a good stable load I can reproduce!

In my 26” barrel 66 grs of R22 tan 2975 fps with 162 AMax. 1/2-3/4” 100 yd groups. Any more powder and groups opened and velocity increase wasn’t that great.

Retumbo would run 3075 fps ish but either of those loads performed great.
