Just got a new toy.. Had to give it a whirl... Tikka 22-250 1:8 twist..
I ran a 75 grain Swift Scirocco into the jugs at an estimated velocity of 2950.. I found the bullet in the fourth jug and it weighed 62.9 grains. Thats 84% weight retention.. This was basically a few rounds I loaded to get on paper.. I'm expecting to see velocity north of 3200 later.. Will retest then.
These are at the top of the heap of .22 cal bullets I have tested. they stay together, penetrate well and shoot pretty good.
