What in the world is with the 7mm Rem Mag brass? I can't find any anywhere. I happened across some at a local store for the first time in over 6 months. All they had was premium Hornady brass which was $70 for fifty rounds, ouch. What gives?

Around here 7mm Mag brass is not hard to find but all components are getting hoarded and not for the betterment of handloader's?

Nosler supposed to be putting out batch end of April or early May is what the distributors have been told.

I have a new sealed bag of remington brand , 7 rem mag brass , quantity 50 , yellow brass . if your interested , I'd be willing to sell them .

Look at Gunroker and buy you some "once fired" brass. Usually ther are several sources available. I myself like the Federal and the Winchester brand. If buying new, then the Norma brand is the best choice...in my opinion! :)

A buddy and I went 50-50 on 100 "once fired" Norma made 257 Wby brass. HA! More than 30 of primer pockets were loose. Unless they were used in a very high pressure test load for some performance specs test, there is no way they got loose from one firing. I would rather buy either the blemished brass from the Nosler Pro Shop or full price and know that I'm getting new brass.

I was told once that Weatherby loads their ammo super hot, 70,000+, so that doesn't surprise me a bit. Norma is also pretty soft brass, IMO, so I'm sure they were loose, ha. I was told their reasoning behind it was twofold; keep velocity up to advertised speeds and ruin the brass for multiple reloads...they want you to buy their high dollar ammo! I have had a couple of each, 240W and 257W. New brass was the way to go with those guys. I just got my 7mm Rem Mag from my smith, and I will put a couple boxes of Winchester factory ammo through it for break in and such, then I have once fired brass from my chamber. Once I get my dies set up for those, I can then use the other once fired I bought. I also saw a neat item and bought one: a collet die that squeezes that bulge out that forms just in front of the belt. Innovative Technologies. http://www.LARRYWILLIS.COM 407-6952685. Its right at hundred bucks, but you can use your belted magnum brass much longer...if you run way less than 70,000+ lol
