Just bought custom 7mm rum, got some 160 grain Accubonds and ReTumbo to try but was also wondering about some Hornady interbonds as they claim to hold 90% weight retention. Also was wondering about 150 gr e-tip for all purpose from deer to elk, moose, but wondering what others who have this gun shoot for bullets?

I have loaded the 160 gr AB in the 7mm RUM with Retumbo. MV is 3300+ fps and sub MOA accuracy.

I've done load development on several. Many want to use the 168 Berger VLD. My personal recommendation, which has always worked well in each rifle tested, is the 160 grain AB. It will perform admirably. The interbond is a good bullet, and it will serve you well. However, it will not retain more weight than does the AB.

Don't get me wrong I love the Nosler Accubonds and have Used them in my 257 weatherby mag, and 7mm rem mag.The only one I have found to date was a 160 grain out of my 7mm rem mag at 3050 muzzle velocity and weighed 106 gr for total of 66% weight retention. Hornady claims 90 percent and was just wondering if it lives up to this statement.

Mine loves the 168 grain Matchking, but its not a hunting bullet. Retumbo is good all around powder for the RUMs, so is Reloder 25.
