i have a remington model 7 7mm08 i have been using imr 4064 in it. i just want to know what other powders people have had success with? i am using 140 gr ballistic tips.

I second the Varget suggestion. Similar burning rate and meters better than 4064. Others to try would be Reloder 15, H-414, Vihtavuori N-150 and N-160, maybe IMR-4350 or Reloder 19 for the longer barrels. Although with your Model 7 I would stick to the medium burning rates mentioned first.

By far my most consistently accurate powder is IMR 4064. I have also shown good groups with H4895 and Varget. I am struggling with H414, I just can't get consistent loads with it. IMR 4350 has also loaded pretty well.

Basically loading around 41-42 grains of IMR 4064 and any 139-140 grain bullet has produced good results. FWIW this has been my experience. Have fun and shoot straight.

Varget again, although I have a Savage 7mm-08 that likes Ramshot BigGame and H414 with 140 Partitions and 140 Accubonds. The H414 has a heavy recoil. The BigGame gives me sub MOA and good velocities with less recoil than the 414. All of the Browning A-Bolts in our camp like Varget and 140 Partitions. If I were to start from scratch my first choice would be Varget then BigGame.

I have been using VIT150... 43.5 Gns under 120 BT's group to 1/2" in a Sako Finnlite get 2970 fps.... excellent results on Roe and Fallow in UK. Little meat damage, all 'Butchers Shots'
