A dream rifle... sorta

Kurt,
That's going to be a really nice packing rifle! Is there a McSwirley planned for it? If so, what color combination?
Scott

Probably not. The stock that's on it is pretty light, and as much as I like McSwirleys, they're pretty heavy. I may see if it will drop into one of the EDGE tech stocks I have... I'm not sure of the contour on this barrel. If it's Mountain Rifle contour, they will fit. (middle two)

No gun safe is complete without a .280 stowed in it.

I say a 7WSM................... 280's are for girls...

Just kidding, my jealous side reared up there

Dude, seriously, how many 7 WSMs do I need? :)

Good point Kurt.. I rescind my comment about the WSM. I think if you spent some time with your 7WSM's, they would make you a little jaded though. Mike is the evil person that turned me onto them.. They are really a fantastic cartridge.

I do have a 280AI loaded cartridge Jim gave me on my way back home from Oregon, sitting on my bench. Very cool cartridge.

Great find Kurt. I've always found those Ti rifles intriguing myself. Hope it performs well for you.

I do agree with the others, though. A new barrel in .280 would be pretty sultry! :)

or a 6.5-06

I have a blued ADL synthetic .270 that's going to going in for a 6.5-06 tube, one of these days. Jmad has just about got me talked into sending it to Blagg Rifles for a Benchmark tube.

Kurt,
That OD stock with the checkering would make that a cool rifle..... or should I say sultry! 8) That's why this is my forum of choice. Not only have I learned a prodigous amount about rifles, handloading and general shooting I get to learn new vocabulary like SULTRY and CURMUDGEON. Some how those two words don't fit well together. :)

Kurt now has two rifles that I would like to get my hands on! That TI would make a nice 6.5-06AI

Wait 'til I get a barreled action for it. We'll get together and burn some gunpowder in it. I really like it, although I must confess, just from playing with it as it sits, I think I like the KS (tan) stock a little better.
