Rich,

Welcome to the forum.

What are you hunting and at what range?

I hunt moose and caribou most years...always shot 180 ABs or Parts...loaded 200 gr ABs and 168 C/Ts with 4360 and w 760 ....mixed results but 1.75 " ave grs on both...really curious about the CTs hunting performance vs Abs

Rich,

Since you are hunting moose, I would stay with the AB. The CT is a BT, which is designed more for deer sized game.
Having said that, the 180 gr BT and CT are of a heavier construction and could be used for moose. The advantage of the AB is that being bonded, it will blast through a heavy shoulder bone and continue into the vitals.

You'll be much happier with the AB than with the CT BST on moose.

Rich Welcome!!!

I have a question, why change? are the AB's not doing the job??

Abs have worked fine , though they will destroy a bbous shoulder with a bad shot,,,ust thought the Cts might be easier on the barel for working up the loads..the best factory ammo for killing was TBBC and best factory for accuracy was ABs,,,,,thanks for the help...I'll work with the ABs and stick with them,,,I have a question on depth seeting,,,will start a new thread,,,,thanks all

Accubonds are premium bullets as the Partitions....I just aquired a new sako 85 in 270wsm and shoots the pt's just fine...but well also shoot the accubonds to see which one is the best for me..both are awsome bullets, but i'm not shooting more than 200-250yds, with that the PT gets my vote..if i were shooting a 338win mag, and both bullets shot the same, it wouldn't make a difference, but for my 270wsm, the 150gr PT well get the node over the 140gr AB for large/heavy game such as elk and moose...your .300 winney well handle large game with the AB or PT..Lou

Rich welcome to the forum :) I would also stick with the AccuBond. The 300 win mag is a great caliber and if you use the 180 AB it is more than enough for both Moose & Elk.
Look forward to hearing your stories of your hunts and lots of photographs.

Blessings,
Dan
