Same bullet other than one's black and red and the other's copper and white? I'm guessing so. What do you know?

Different bullets all together.
The AB is a bonded lead core bullet with a solid base.
The XP3 is a hybrid Barnes X bullet with a rear core like a Partition and a polycarbonate tip like the Ballistic Tip.

Also an expensive bullet, around a dollar each.

I'll just stick to the Noslers and keep killing and grilling!

BTW I believe the Wincheste bullet got really bad reviews in the lastest issue of American rifleman...I think. It was posted on another site...24 hour campfire I think.

Thanks. I figured winchester was using nosler's bullets like combined technology. I had no idea they used barnes also. I wonder why they didn't go with the barnes TSX instead of a new design. So much for barnes talking smack about leaded vs unleaded huh?

I may be off base here, but I was under the impression that the xp3 was a "evolutionary" development of the Failsafe bullet. Or am I thinking of something else? :?

It's actually an all Winchester design, that caused them to ask Nosler to quit production of the Combined Technology Fail Safes...I will be buying Federal ammo and components from now on because of this.
