Acquired A "New" Ruger American

Bought one in 7-08 about a month ago. It's consistent 1" or better at 100 with 140 core lokts. I got some test loads done with 120 btips last weekend but haven't had a chance to shoot em yet. So far I'm impressed with it.

That's all I ran in my old 308. I'd like to have another 308. Can't beat how easy it is to load for and how accurate they usually are without a whole lot of work.

It keeps getting better and better the more I read from you guys!
Nothing wrong with not needing a lot of work.

I have the American predator in 6.5 creedmoor. I have been extremely pleased with the accuracy from hand loads and factory loads. On load it never shot was the superformance 120 grain. GMX which was terrible to say the least. My sister has a new predator in 308 have not tested it for accuracy yet though. Here are some of my hunting hand loads groups. The amax was a factory load.

Your rifle is the next one I want to buy! I've always liked the 6.5x55, and now I want to try the 6.5 Creedmoor American Predator! I'm drooling just thinking about it!

I've got a 223 Predator. Love it. For the money it's tough to beat for what I use it for.

I'm very happy you recommended the RAR to me!
They are a tremendous value!
The only weak thing, and it's not really all that weak, is the stock. The but is completely hollow. Could possibly make excessive noise in the bush.
Otherwise, one heck of a deal!
