I am not that smart, however I do take a pen or marker and write "all" of my data on the saved targets. I include load data, AOL, date, range and the like. I also have that info in a note book. Nothing fancy but it does help as time speeds by.
Here are some free downloadable targets. The first on the left I use when working up loads. You can download it in a Powerpoint format and if you have Powerpoint you can enter data in the blocks.
I created a different Powerpoint target with a larger round bull because I test my loads with a 10X and I couldn't get definition with that little diamond. I enter known data before I go shoot. Then when I get home I scan the target as a .jpg, then add it to my Powerpoint file. I can then create text blocks for data such as group size etc.
I think you can do almost the same thing with Publisher, maybe Word also.
These Windows office software have some better uses than doing office work.
I never though about adding text to a photo of a target in Photo or Pictures software. Good Idea.
