As some recall Catherine was in Afghanistan attached to a couple SFunits while working for State department.
While we were in Africa last year we got news her guide and interpreter were close to getting to the United States.
Nothing but frustration and bullshit from the Biden administration since then. She has filed the same paper work three times.
We got a call yesterday, a soldier who was part of Catherine's detail now works at state. Called to let her know he by chance came across her paperwork. He has talked to the guys hiding in Afghanistan, they are now on the shortlist for final vetting.

Not just trapped, but deserted. What a shameful episode for our once mighty nation. The military is no stronger than the resolve of the political masters.
