Spot and stalk grizzly hunt on the tundra. Hard to beat when it all lines up.
Guy was shooter Berger bullets in his 338 RUM. I was not impressed with them at all. First client I've had with them.
Sorry if the grizz threads are getting old....

Well you're having an outstanding season. Congratulations. I'm not impressed with the Berger bullets on heavy animals either.

Great looking bear! Congratulations. (y)

I'm fine with the Bergers for deer sized game. Hadn't ever considered them for anything larger. Details on why you're not pleased with them re the grizzly?

Regards, Guy

Hunting photos don't get old for me .
Like Guy, I would like to hear about what the Berger did or didn't do.
Keep posting I love the stories as well..

Blessings,
Dan

Congratulations on the fine bear.

Client made three good hits with the Berger and we got fantastic tissue damage. But zero broken bones, it was almost like those bullets exploded but because the fragments were
So small they didn't have the power to destroy bone. I found a few pieces here and there. All flat and flimsy. Massive tissue damage, but that bear was climbing back up the mountain with three good chest shots on it. Finally just ran outa gas. But even rib bones appeared to be in fine shape.

Those pictures and stories never get old.

Congrats on what looks like a great season. Beautiful bear.

Interesting. And a great example of why there are so many good bullets avail for big game now, Nosler, Barnes, Swift, etc. Bullets that will penetrate, expand and hang together.

Jake - do you have a favorite "grizzly bullet" you like to see your clients use?

Thanks, Guy

I have seen similar poor performance with Bergers on goats. Massive soft tissue damage and jellied meat but wouldn't punch thru the shoulder.
