...another run on ammo...

Of course, the estimates on income are wildly optimistic, though the legislators have already spent the money they don't have. Kalifornia is rapidly approaching the point of no return on the downward slide to oblivion.

.............

The REALLY BIG probelm is that many of the Kalifornian's are moving east and bringing their ideas and problems with them. Look at Colorado as a prime example. I lived in Colo Springs back in '79 and the early 80's and the exodus into Color was massive then. Can't imagine what it is like today but look at their government for a good example of Kalifornia ideas being implemented.

I consider California a cancer. As the old saying goes, " As California goes, so eventually will the rest of the nation." :( :x FWIW, I left California way back in 1970 permanently. Friends told me I would egret the move. I ask then now how they like the circumstances they have now. All I hear is silence. :(

Yes, it is fascinating to note that people who have destroyed their own area imagine that they can improve Paradise if only the unenlightened citizens will perform the despoiling acts that the migrants performed in their own area. Poor, benighted souls that those not living in Kalifornia are, if only they will do as Kalifornia has done, things may work out better this time.

California's current state saddens me.

I go down there to visit family regularly. The sheer physical beauty of the state remains incredible.

There are also still the wonderful rural areas and people, the same small towns, winding roads heading up remote canyons, incredible fishing...

And then there are the big cities full of liberals... Ugh.

Being a person stuck behind enemy lines all I can say is most of what you all write is correct. Unfortunately there is no leaving California for my wife and I anytime soon. Too many financial and professional commitments. One day we will escape, but until then I continue to fight for freedom and to do away with the tyranny.

"You can't fix stupid." It's starting up now in Nevada. Nevada? Couple of Democrats are pushing a bill for background checks on all sales private or public. I've lived in las Vegas, Reno and even Winnemucca and the California liberals are heavily into the first two places mentioned. :x I got transferred to Tucson back in 1979 and they're here too. Thank God for Jan Brewer. If that woman ever ran for POTUS, she would have my vote. Methinks a lot of anti-gun BS would get vetoed out right off the bat when it hit her desk and the border would damn well be properly protected post haste.

That's too bad, like Guy mentioned, I spent my first 10 years as a Marine in California, met some great folks, but there is alot of nuttiness as well. I loved the Sierra's and the Northern portion of the state as well. Just a great place, but the place is about to run into an iceberg it will never recover from.
