today i shot some mild loads (2650fps) with the 100 grain nosler solid base in my 22" 700 .243. the groups were quite good in the 3/8-1/2" range. just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this powder and cartridge? my load was 41.0grains, win brass and win wlr primer.

42.5 grains RL-22, WW brass and Fed210M primers work well in my gun using the 95 ballistic tips. This is .3 grains higher than nosler book max so work up. It sounds like you already found a winner with the Partition and it is probably a better a choice bullet to use anyways. 42 grains of IMR4350 worked pretty good also in testing various 100 grain bullets in my gun, which is a 10 twist a-bolt. Mine definitely shows a very strong liking of the 85-87 grain bullets. Your Remington is a 9 1/4 twist and will probably show more favor to the 100/105 bullets.

can't complain about the accuracy. i would like to get the velocity up closer to the 2900-3000fps range though. i have several other loads which produce 3000fps, but the accuracy is not as good as with RL22.
