I'm thinking of a 264 caliber for a new rifle and I don't have anything in a light caliber between 22 and 30. I figure 6.5 would make a great inbetween caliber for deer, if I ever do draw an antelope tag or minimum for elk if I had to go to a back up to my whelen. I took my very first deer 20 years ago with an old 6.5x52 carcano , I have a fondness for the 6.5's
