Wondering if anyone has tried the Federal Euro Copper ammunition yet. (All copper bullet with a flat point plastic tip for expansion.) If so, how did it perform? (On target or game)
They make it in a few different cartridges, and I picked up some for the 9.3x62 (250 gr) on the weekend. Not badly priced for a Federal Premium ammo.
The specs on the box are in m/s and joules, but converting the muzzle velocity, it is spec'd for 2474 fps.The BC doesn't appear to be very high and should retain about 1890 fps at 200 meters (about 219 yards), and 1980 ft lbs of energy; so still legal for bison at 200 yards.
When I can shoot again, I'll try it out in the Sako Model 85.
