Now that my big-game hunting is over it's time to play with the new toy I purchased last fall and really havent' got a chance to shoot. I'm a big fan of the Viht powders and decided to give the N-140 a try in the .223 VTR w/60grain B-tips. The VTR has a 1 in 9 twist barrel in the .223 so I've been hoping I can get the 60gr B-tips to shoot.
The target is the first 5 shots this morning on a "clean barrel " low right shot was #1 I think I found my powder and bullet  Yote hunting this winter is going to be fun.... I also launched one into some milk jugs and was pleased with the results... I figured the 60gr B-tip would be constructed a littel heavier, but it came appart quite nicely. 20.5 grains recovered.

Nice shooting load. I envy you being able to shoot the 60 gr BT. It just won't stabilize in my 1:14 twist 22-250.
How many water jugs did the 60 gr BT penetrate?

JD....

I had a couple 2.5 gallon water jugs... @ 100 yds it won't make it out the back side of one....
