As some of you may recall, I recently built a loading bench and got it pretty well set up. I haven't been able to set it up for almost 2 years now. I bought a lb. of H4381 and some CCI primers a couple weeks ago and would have gotten to work sooner, but my old, balance scale was looking pretty shabby. I decided to buy a Hornady digital and it just came in today.
Well, I already have about 30 .277, 160grn PT's that I had begun load development on a few years ago, but never got very far. So, I decided to start from scratch. I had prepped the brass a week or so ago and was ready to go.
I was kind of nervous because it had been so long. It was almost like loading for the first time. Thinking of that song "Feel's like the first time". Anyhow, being it has been so long, I decided to work up from a starting load of 50grns and work up in 1 grn increments to the max of 54grns. I loaded 3 rounds of each for preliminary testing.
Hoping to get to the range towards the end of the coming week.
