Does anybody have any good loads for 180 gr. Ballistic Tips or Ballistic Silver Tips for a 300 Wby? I did a search and found some data posted by POP for 180 gr. Partition SP, but was not sure if it would be the same for the Ballistic Tips. Thanks for any help

Welcome to the forum.
You can use the 180 gr PT load data for the 180 gr BT, just remember to start low and work up.

What powder are you considering?

Thanks JD338, I was going to try H4831 or RL19 those seem to be the only ones I can get right now. Any Suggestions on which one would be better?

I am not JD but with a 180gr bullet I would go with H4831 or H4831sc over RL-19. Of course I would try them both if I were you.

Wow, thanks for all that data Pop and the welcome. Bullet, I think I will try both of those and will report back how they compare.

Take care guys

I would think RL22 and H1000 would also be good powders to try.

Keep us posted with your load development.

81g RL-22 shot fantastic for me, .25"-.5" 3 shot groups at 100 yards from my 24" vanguard in 300 WBY. Velocity was 3100fps. I used Weatherby brass and Fed 215's. Rounds were loaded to function through magazine.

Thanks remingtonman_25_06 that's one of the powders I would like to try and the 215's also but, every place is out of stock on most stuff right now. I have some Winchester primers and found some of the other powders so I try that for now.
