I recently purchased a CZ452 Lux in .22RF, and I'm wondering about the proper scope to mount on it. The most powerful scopes I've noticed designated as being for .22s is the 3x9. Most of my range shooting will be at 50yds. so that's powerful enough even for these old eyes. I like the Bushnell rimfire 3x9, but am wondering if there's any reason why I can't mount my old Weaver 4x12x40? Will it require shims to raise it due to the larger optical front end? I have a lot of centerfires but actually know rather little about .22s. Thanks for the help. Best wishes.
