Borrowed a chrono at went to the range

I stopped at 59.5 grains of Re15 because velocity increases seemed to be very slow in coming, because I found good accuracy, and because I wasn't sure I could safely continue to increase the charge. At that point I loaded up all my brass and placed the ammo on my shelf for use. It was after that when I learned that others, like Scotty, we're going beyond 60 grains with regularity and getting better results and using drop tubes to get all that powder into the case. When my ammo stock is depleted I plan to take a look at these higher charges---I hate pulling bullets!

I originally tried Varget too. For me, it provided higher velocities and seemed to provide comparable accuracy, but everywhere I looked Re15 was the acclaimed powder of choice so I went with it despite my usual contrarian nature.

I think you'll find a great load at around 60.0 to 60.5 grains. Keep us in the loop!
