I've never tried any of the Federal.......but can tell you I have up to 7 reloads on some of the Remington brass, and still doing ok.

Although Rem brass is crap, Federal brass tends to be really soft. I got up to 8-9 reloads out of my rem 300 RUM brass. With federal, you'd be lucky to get 3-4. If your looking for good brass, buy some of the NOSLER brass and let us know how it does.

The Nosler brass seems to keep popping up on ebay. No 300 RUM yet though.

The Nosler brass is very nice! I have some 280 AI brass and there is no prep work required! I would alos recomend you get some Nosler 300 RUM brass, well worth the price.
