...I've had 3 Brownings, all A-Bolts, out of the box accuracy was MOA on all three, definitely comparable to Savage, when you get down to comparing fit, finish, & configurations a Mod.70 or 700 w/ the same features would cost you considerably more. I like 60* bolt throws. I don't like some of the X-Bolt features, mostly the mag & cut-outs, but they're still making A-Bolts. The LGS has 3 Medallion Grade A-Bolts in .25-06, .270 WSM, & .308, all w/ 26" barrels for $600, so I think that w/ a little shopping, prices are pretty equitable. I've got a Tikka, too, & I think the DuraStock on the Browning is better than the factory stocks on it, the Mod. 70, or 700. When you start comparing apples to apples, prices on the Brownings aren't that much more...

There is nothing like the feel of a good Winchester Model 70, in my opinion.

Same here! I do however really like the BLR's ALOT.. If I knew of a good, inexpensive fix for the triggers, I think I would have more of them. They are some excellent carrying rifles that have alot of great cartridge options. Heck, I think a 325WSM in a BLR would be the mountain lions' meow! Scotty

was thinking the same thing too a pistol grip stainless 325 would be very good gun to have.

I've shot several of the BLRs chambered in .325 WSM. They are great rifles and all I have shot delivered surprisingly good accuracy.

My 358 BLR is very accurate and with a good trigger would be hard to put down. The darned trigger needs serious work though. I would think a 325WSM would be really something in one of them. 220's at a decent speed would be some excellent medicine for about anything and what a great carrying rifle.. Scotty

I've always had Winchester 70's but when they closed shop, I tried an A-Bolt stalker in 7mm-08 and have been a fan ever since! (Still love the Winchester's too!)
I got a great deal on a used x-bolt in 325 wsm that UPS stomped. I sent it to Browning with a note explaining the circumstances and that it was used and requested an estimate. A month later, it showed up totally repaired, good as new and at no charge! I'm a fan of Browning, for sure. Trouble is, it was purchased for hunting and now it's too pretty to take out.
If anyone has an issue with their Browning, I'm pretty confident that contacting Browning for assistance would be a good idea.

Since Browning Customer Service moved back to Morgan, Utah from Arnold, Missouri I have had a couple of instances where I needed parts or service and the response has been excellent and timely.

...had to call 'em up for an action screw a couple of weeks ago, they spent longer on the phone making sure I got the right screw than it took for the mailing info. 2 days, 2 screws, no charge...

AMEN to that! I am telling you, if people gave that 7WSM a shot, I doubt they would be disapointed. Especially in a M70 where you can seat your bullets out a little. Really helps with them long 160gr AB's and 175gr PT's. Scotty

Good point, they even chambered their BLR's in 7WSM...

It is hard to figure what trends will be sometimes. Weatherby is not selling as many of their 7 Wea Mag either. The 7mm Rem Mag was one of the top five selling cartridges for a long time, from the early 1960's to recently. I would think that the 7mm WSM would be one of the more popular calibers with no belt and more capacity in the case. However the .270 WSM is a better seller, go figure?
