Thought I would put up a couple of pics of some bullet cross sections for you all.

The first picture is a 30 cal 200 grain AccuBond and a 30 cal 165 sierra tipped gameking. I was very impressed with the jacket thickness of the TGK but would want some velocity to make it work I suspect.

The second pic in order from left to right is,
Hornady 7mm 150grain eldx,
Sierra 30 cal 168grain matching,
Sierra 338 cal 215grain gameking,
Sierra 7mm 140grain gameking,
Speed 7mm 145 grain SPBT.

Will probably do some more in due course.

Sierra's TGK has a pretty stout jacket, no doubt.

Nosler's AccuBond is already a classic. I remember when it was introduced... It was supposed to perform similarly to a Nosler Partition on game but with a higher BC because of the tip and the boattail. In my limited experience, it's done a fine job of that.

Good bullets I think, both of them.

I agree, the profile on that AccuBond combined with the bonding make it an absolute killer out of the 300wm and up. It goes very well out of my 300RUM.

Years ago, when the 300 RUM was new, I had one and loaded the 200 gr AccuBond over a stout charge of Retumbo for about 3,000 fps as I recall. It was a popular load at the time and an excellent one.

92 grains of Retumbo gets it out the barrel of my Rum at 3,132fps with an SD of 7.9. That's out of a 26 inch barrel. It is an incredibly accurate load but probably in a cartridge I would never buy again. I have enjoyed playing with it though.

My background is in education and research was always stressed from college through to when I retired.
When I got into hunting and shooting later in life I did a ton of research into which bullet I wanted to use, and it came down to the Partition and the AccuBond.
The AccuBond won because of the higher bc.
I didn’t realize that there was that amount of copper at the base.
I’ve taken the majority of my deer with the AccuBond and it has worked extremely well!
