I had A bullet failure with my 225 accubonds out of my 35 whelen Yesterday. I was checing my zero and had set up a box for a target. Behind the target was some 8 inch I beam bout 3/8 thick. I really didn't think about it being there till I shot. It made a heck of a dent in the Ibeam but Failed to penetrate. I guess If I have to shoot a deer behind I beam I will have to get more gun LoL.

We'll recall them all then!

I got what was left of the Bullet and will take some pics of the beam and post them next time I get up to camp

Exactly! That bullet performed as designed and knocked the life right out of that evil I-beam!

Bet there wasn't much bullet left to recover though...

Those I beams are tough!

Here is a picture of a 12x12x3/4" steel gong that was shot at 440 yds with my 338 RUM 225 gr AB, 280 AI 160 gr AB and my buddy's 300 Win Mag with a 180 gr TX. The 338 RUM put some healthy dents in the back of the gong at that range.

Now come on, you can't tell me you didn't know ...... ???

You're supposed to use I-Bonds when shooting @ I-Beams. not A-bonds... Right tool for the job works every time.... 8)
