I was wondering about the performance of some bullets in the 222rem.
Mainly the Rem 50gr Powerlokt PLHP, Nosler 50gr b-tip, Berger 50gr varmit HP.

Also how do the tipped bullets from seirra, speer, hornady, and nosler compare to the hornady SXP or the speer TNT? This would be mainly for bobcats and coyotes from 20-150 yards.

And 45gr bullets made for the 22 hornet? I have not seen any thing on there use in the 222. Shouldn't they give both good penitration and fragmentation at 222 velcoties?

The Nosler 50 grain BT should do fine for your needs. I am getting excellent accuracy with the Nolser BT in my .223, a little under .50 M.O.A. using Ramshot Tac.

My main consern is how does it expand at 222 velocities. I know the SPX/TNT bullets were made for it so how dose the tipped bullets compare to them, More or less expansion?

You should get close to 3,000 fps with the .222 and Nosler says the minium velocity needed for the 50 grain BT is 1,600 fps.

Try the Nosler 40 gr. BT or 50 gr. BT, they do a great job in my old Remington 700 222.

I'd look at the 40gr and 50grn B-tips too.
I've shot a lot of others ( green boxes ) smk's etc with huge exit holes on yotes. The BlitzKings in my opinion do the same with major expansion.
