could someone please explain to me a little better about the differences between Partition and AccuBond.

AND the differences between the CT ballistic silver tip and the regular ballastic tip bullet.

In both cases they seem like the same idea to me and the same function, could someone please help me.

The main difference in the two Ballistic Tips you listed is the lubalox coating on the silvertip version. I don't know exactly what the true function of the lubalox is, but it probably reduces friction and decreases fouling, or some such.

As for the AccuBond/Partition question, the two are totally different designs. The AccuBond is pretty much built like the BT's mentioned above, except it has a bonded core, which means it was soldered to the copper jacket rather than just inserted or poured into it. The Partition is a different design, lacking the boat-tail profile and the plastic tip of the others, and having a dual core design, separated by a 'bulkhead' in the middle of the bullet. Take a look at the cutaway pix on www.nosler.com and you can clearly see the differences.

To answer the underlying question about function, the Partition and the AccuBond are really two ways of skinning the same cat, up to a point. For the toughest game, with the heaviest bone structure, the Partition is likely to outperform the AccuBond (all else being equal), but for pretty much everything on the North American continent, either would suffice.

CT stands for Combined Technologies, Nosler builds bullets for Winchester under the CT name. The CT Slivertip is the basic Nosler Ballistic Tip with a Red Polycarbonate tip and the Lubalux coating. Other than that, same exact bullet. These bullets will expand at impact velocities of 3000-1600 fps.
The AccuBond is a bonded core bullet, very similar to the Ballistic Tip. The difference is a heavier jacket. The lead if fused to the jacket to retain weight and penetration. Expansion will occure at impact velocities of 3100-1800 fps.
The Partition is a bullet with a front and rear core. The jacket has a "Partition" seperating these cores. Think of the letter H as the jacket with two lead cores. The front core is designed to fragment into many smaller secondary projectiles which enhances the shock and trama. The rear core stays in place to provide weight for increased penetration. Expansion from 1800 fps impact velocity and upto 3000+ fps.

Hope this helps.
