Burris Warranty

I would have to agree with Vince, the HD5 is a fine piece of glass

I have quite a bit of experiences with the burris optics as they are local to me (Greeley, Colo). I will sadly report that every burris scope I have had has been back to burris for issues.

3 Fullfield II "aliens in the scope" fixed currently own
2 signature series water, would not hold 0. Fixed and sold.
1 signature select Would not hold 0. Went in two times before being replaced.

They do stand by the warranty, however there history for me is now clouded. I can't afford to have scopes "decide" were I am shooting.

I do wish you luck with the new c4!

mlaw48,
That seems to be their track record and the reason I was reluctant to put the C4 on the 300 RUM.
It will work fine on the 30-06 for local Deer Hunting.

I agree sir!

The FFII are sitting on 300 wsm browning a-bolt and they are holding up well.

My 300 RUM browning a-bolt has a HD5 zeiss on it now, it did have a signature series on it that went back and was sold.

My Nikon scopes have always done very well for me, not a single one has gone back for service. My Monarch ATB bino's just went in for a eye cup problem and are on their way back. About 10 days turn around.

Check out www.samplelist.com they have some demo scopes that go for a descent price.
I have also "heard" but have not confirmed that the old "monarch" has the same glass as the "monarch 3."

mlaw48,
Thanks for the info, good luck this hunting season

Don
