i got a new bushnell 6-24x50 a little while ago for my 270 win. and i am curious about the moa adjustment on it. because the knob for the moa adjustment is numbered. but between number 1 and 2 there is 6 clicks. Does anyone know what Moa that mite be or is there a 6 Moa adjustment?

Which model scope did you get? You might be miscounting, as it could be 8 clicks total, meaning you have a 1/8moa adjustment. If you have one of the Elites, I know some of them have this fine adjustment on them (as opposed to the more coarse 1/4moa adjustments that are more common).

I dont know what model the scope is but when i took it to the range and went back 100 yards the clicks matched up with 1/4 MOA each click. but i will post a picture.

I would depending how close you think you might get a shot. Should be ok. If you want to shoot real far (1000+ you will need to make sure there is enough MOA adjustment in your scope "up adjustment" or improvise with built in MOA base and or ring inserts made by burris.

The idea behind high magnification is to see your target that's far away with enough definition to be able to place your shot accurately and to distinguish antlers or which animal is which at long distance. My name is Greg and I am a scopeaholic. There is never too much magnification. "BUT" there is too little field of view to see your animal up close for a quick shot because your field of view is too limited. I just sold a scope because my field of view was so small at 75 yards I missed a running pig because I couldn't see anything but pig in my scope when I happened to cross the view of the pig momentarily. It's a judgement call based on what kind of shooting you have in mind. If it's targets there is no problem. If it's hunting you have to decide what happens on a close shot. As is said " a 3x9 scope will put you on target at 500 yds." The question is can you pick the antlers out of the bushes at that range? Probably not. But on the other hand, can you see enough to make a 50 yd. shot on a moving animal. That's the stuff that keeps hunters awake at night trying to decide. I wish you inspiration . If you find the answer send me an e-mail so I can find some.
Good Hunting
