Does anyone know a decent place to hunt for deer and bear in Los Padres National Forest in Zone A?

I've gone out scouting to a couple different areas and cannot for the life of me find a place that isn't going to involve a 10 mile drag uphill!

I haven't hunted or hiked the Los Padres National Forest in over 20 years, and sorry, can't remember where zone A is.

Do recall seeing some pretty decent bucks in there, and yes it's rugged country. Thinking that quartering up or boning out the deer on the spot would be the way to get one out.
