Do digital calipers that read to 4 dec. places actually read to .0001 or is the last number always a 5 or 0. When I read the spec's on these it says resolution .0005. I would think that if it has 4 dec. places it would read to .0001 as like .4641, .4643,.4644. The calipers I have will interpolate to .0005 but reads to 3 dec. places as like .464 with occasionally a little 5 in the corner.

They will not read .0001" increments. To measure tenths of thousanths for reloading purposes is really not necessary. Thousanths is plenty. Aerospace is one of the few GD&T areas that tenths of thousanths is a drawing tolerance. Your calipers will give you a reading of either zero or 5 at the fourth decimal place.

I have a starrett caliper that reads each tenth . my frankford arsenal calipers read in 5's and 0's . as was said , you really don't need the tenths reading for reloading .
