That isn't all that unusual. It's just a tad roomy in the chamber at the web area. If you reload, I would set the dies just to partial size, or use a neck sizer. One just needs to make sure they will chamber with that process, specially in a break action. Otherwise complete FL sizing will over work the brass, and you'll have shorter brass life, and or casehead seperation. But out of curiosity, how many thousandths are you seeing.
If it's more than care to have, I would send it back to TC for replacement. I can live with .004 -.006" if the accuracy is there, but any more I'm not overly enthused with the barrel. Even if it is shootable.
.005 and i use a lee hand loader when i seat my bullet the case gets stuck in my die and i get a little flatness on my ballistick tip pushing it out. it is a rechamberd 222 brl and i am not the orig purcheser.
What lube you using? If not Imperial, I would suggest getting some. For convienence I use the Hornady OneShot one some chamberings, but when dealing with that much expansion, it a bit touchy without getting too much or not enough on specially with hand press being a bit more so too. I had one one worse at .008" (really poor job for a custom, but got a 50% refund), it shot well but I sold ity any way, with the buyer knowing of it. I just didn't ever go back to that maker.
thanks for the idea, i usually do not lube when using a hand loader and have had no problems with my 243,30-30,30-06 but i will try maybe that will be the ticket thanks again i will let you know tomorrw how it goes. thanks again
I missed it earlier, but was thinking Hand Press, not the Hand Loader. Of which I'm not familiar with. I'm thinking partial sizing is out with it. I can't imagine sizing of with out lube on any, a stuck case is going to happen eventually. I certainly would think the lube is going to make life easier for you and the brass regardless. I forgot about the tip deformation earlier. I would think that is due to the bullet seater profile not being quite right for whatever reason.
