Colt Light Rifle

The CLRs appear to list at a reasonable price. These may just be worth looking at.

I'm impressed at the price. Are these rifles just not that desirable?

Realistically, these things bring about $550-600 on the used market, and maybe another $100 premium on the "NIB" market. Some dealers still have one or two on the shelf for $500 or less. It's tough to find them, but the reality is, few people know much about them, and that keeps demand lower than it should be for what these rifles are. It's just that too few folks know what they are, and the ones on GB for $700 and up right now have all been listed for at least 2mo, maybe longer, in one iteration or another. The 300WinMag in Scotty's last link (with the 6x BSA scope) has been listed for over a year, possibly longer than two. I recognize the pictures from many, many searches over the past few years.

Dub, I know you made me interested when you spoke of how well your 30-06 shot. I would be okay with a lightweight 270 or 30-06 as it would be a very useful rifle. Then, with the upgrades available makes it more desirable.

The number of CLRs you are posting lead me to wonder why people are not jumping on these. I may have to look around up here to see if any slipped into the Great White North.

I am not really looking for them, but there are a couple people at work that are wanting a good bolt gun, and with them danged SPS's and such being sold for about the same price, I am doing what I can to keep them away from them. There are such a good bunch of used rifles for the same money out there, that would be much better for most folks.
