Combined technology - pic and question.... game or "var

Attached you should find a photo of a target from a recent trip to the range. Here are the particulars:

range 90 yards (thats all I've got).
Cal: 250-3000 Savage
Mauser Action/ Bushnell trophy 3-9x40
40 gr.s of H4350
Remington case
CCI standard primer
85 Grn Nosler CT (coated)
EST Vel. @ 3000 fps

So, the question: The group is O.k. I would like to see the perfect "cloverleaf", (hence my screen name), but I can live with this. However, is this a hunting bullet as the box indicated or a varmint bullet? supposed;y this same bulet loaded in a 25-06 is P dog medicine. Whats the scoop?

It would do ok for antelope (max) with a rib shot but like I said that would be max. I would prefer a 100 minimum.

The group looks good to me. You do not always get cloverleafs unfortunately.

The 25 caliber 85 grain CT Balistic Silver Tip is a varmint bullet. If you stay with the CT bullets, you will have to jump up to the 115 grain bullet. I would recommend that you give the 100 grain Ballistic Tip a try for antelope.

Yeah- dont get me wrong the group is o.k. Shooting those one holers is fun though. :grin: As for the 100 grnr's they took a beautiful antelope for me already this year. I was shooting them the first time I shot a legit "one holer". I just had to load them down to 38 grains. nothing wrong with them. A 90 grn offering from the competition will do the same. I have plenty of options but the experiment is fun. thanks for the replys. CL
Incidentally, the promotional "poster" from Nosler for this year lists the 85 CT as a hunting bullet but all the factory loads I can find call it a varmint round. There in, the question.
